Art tragically passed on Sunday August twenty-fourth two-thousand-fourteen at six at night. Art had been in the hospital at Pforzheim for two weeks suffering from throat blockage and picked up a pneumonia in the hospital, that proved fatal. |
||||||
Art grew up in the New Jersey and Oregon area. He joined the Army after high school and was stationed at Reisenbach where he was promoted to Specialist E4. After his tour at Reisenbach he elected to get discharged in Germany and remain there for one year. After returning to the states for a short period he returned to Germany an d went to college there. After graduating he became a teacher and met Elsbeth and they got married. Art made many trips back and forth to the states and ultimately became a German citizen since he elected to make his home there. |
