Ernie tragically passed on Tuesday August fifth two-thousand-eight at eight-thirty at night. Ernie had been admitted to the hospital four weeks before suffering from a head injury and picked up a hospital induced infection that proved fatal. |

Ernie grew up in the Niagara Falls New York area. He joined the Army after high school and was stationed at Reisenbach where he was promoted to Sergeant E5 and became site chief. After his tour at Reisenbach he reenlisted and was sent to Vietnam and then to Colorado where he was discharged honorably from the Army. He returned to New York and there were not any jobs so he and his wife Margitta and their daughter Helen packed up and moved to California where he found employment. He, Margitta and Helen continued to live happily in California for many years. |

Ernie is survived by his daughter Helen, her husband John, their children Mathew and Kristina, his sisters Joan and Millie and a brother Ray. | ||||||
